Steel passivation

The passivation process is used to treat steel (300 series, PH series, 400 series) in order to free them from oxides due to heat treatment and to form a uniform protective layer that guarantees the stainlessness of the materials.

Passivated surfaces must be free of contamination from free iron or other contaminants, which can cause corrosion or staining.

In order to correctly carry out the steel passivation process, the parts must first be degreased. The preliminary degreasing phase allows the elimination of various types of contamination, traces of grease, ink, etc., preparing the parts for the steel passivation process.
